Guide Review - 2941 Restaurant Review
2941 offers modern American cuisine with classic French influences. The menu uses fresh ingredients and changes seasonally. We shared two appetizers and two main courses. We enjoyed the Arugula & Mizuna Salad, Corn Chowder, the Wild King Salmon and the Grilled American Wagyu Ribeye. All of the dishes were nicely presented and cooked just right. The portions are modest as is typical of French cuisine. The Chocolate Souffle Tart was a sweet ending to a great meal. A six course tasting menu is also available with daily selection changes.

The highlight of dining at 2941 is definitely the setting. The restaurant features high ceilings with huge picture windows that offer breathtaking views of landscaped woods with elaborately designed waterfalls, Koi ponds, and fountains. The decor is very modern with interesting light fixtures and blazing fireplaces that create a warm and romantic atmosphere. 2941 would be a great place to host a special gathering. There are two private dining rooms, seating 10 - 100, a Chef's Tasting Room, serving up to 30 and a Chef's Kitchen Table for up to 8. There is an outdoor patio with seating available during the warmer months.

Tips for Getting the Most out of Washington Restaurant Week

Make reservations early, many of the most popular restaurants get booked up.

Read menus and reviews (see a partial list below). Restaurant Week is a good deal at the priciest restaurants. Some restaurants offer pre-fixed menus all the time, so specials during this week may not offer as big a savings.

Be aware that not all restaurants participating in Washington Restaurant Week offer the promotional menu at both meals. When you make your reservation, you should confirm with the restaurant that they are participating in Restaurant Week.

When making a reservation, ask about the Restaurant Week promotion dates. A number of restaurants continue the promotion an extra week. You may be better off visiting those restaurants during the second week. Below is a list of restaurants that I know are extending Restaurant Week. There are probably more.
